Instructions & Procedure for Online Registration

The eligible candidates on the basis of AIEEE 2012 results are required to register ONLINE through Internet (http://www.chdenggadmissions.nic.in ) from places of their convenience. The detailed procedure is described below:
2. Online Registration will start from 12/06/2012 and will close on 26/06/2012 at 5:00 PM.
3. Candidate’s eligibility:
  • All candidates who have valid All India Rank on the basis of AIEEE-2012 are eligible for online registration for counseling.
  • Candidates having valid All India Rank in Engineering Stream can register for Engineering courses only.
  • Candidate having valid All India Rank in Architecture Stream can register for Architecture courses only.
  • Candidate having valid All India Rank in Engineering & Architecture Streams can register either in Engineering courses or Architecture courses or both courses.

The candidate will register online by entering the following as indicated in the Admit/Score Card of AIEEE-2012.
  • AIEEE Roll Number
  • AIEEE Application Number
  • Name of the Candidate
  • Date of Birth

This data submitted by the candidate will be verified with the AIEEE database of CBSE. If this data submitted by the candidate is found to match with AIEEE-2012 database of CBSE, then only the candidate will be permitted to pay initial counselling fee and fill the Online Registration Form. Candidate is required to choose his/her own password during Online Registration Process.
6. All eligible candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs. 1200/- as registration-cum-counselling fees (Non-Refundable) using any of the following modes:
  • e-Challan of HDFC Bank.
  • Using Debit/Credit Card through HDFC BANK payment gateway services (Bank service charges as applicable)

 Payment of initial fee through e-Challan: Before registration, candidates are required to download the HDFC BANK’s e-challan Form and pay an amount of Rs. 1200/- as initial counselling fees (Non-Refundable) in any branch of HDFC Bank. After payment, candidates are required to visit the website once again and fill online registration form and also enter the e-challan payment details like transaction sequence no, branch code & branch name, date of deposit etc.

 Payment of initial fee through Debit/Credit card: Before registration, candidates could directly click at the appropriate link for payment. System will redirect to the bank’s payment gateway website and after successful payment back to the counselling website to complete the registration process.

 Last Date for payment of Registration-cum-Counselling fee is 23rd June, 2012.

Candidates are advised to record/remember their password for all future Logins. Confidentiality of the password is the sole responsibility of the candidate and all care must be taken to protect its security. Candidates are advised not to disclose or share their password with anybody. Neither Joint Admission Committee, Chandigarh nor NIC is responsible for violation or misuse of the password of the candidate. A candidate can change his/her password after login, if desired.
8. There are three simple steps to Register Online :

Step 1: Pay initial registration cum counselling fee through e-Challan or through debit/credit card.

Step 2:
  • If fee is paid through e-Challan, candidates are required to visit the website once again and fill online registration form and also enter the e-challan payment details like transaction sequence no, branch code & branch name, date of deposit etc.
  • If fee is paid through debit/credit card, System will redirect to the bank’s payment gateway website and after successful payment back to the counselling website to complete the registration process.

Step 3:Only those Candidates who have paid initial registration cum counselling fee and registered online and are eligible for Choice filling during 1st July to 7th July, 2012.
     
9. Physical reporting as per counselling schedule for Document verification before choice filling only for the candidates belonging to following categories:
  • Physically Handicapped (05)
  • Freedom Fighter (06)
  • Kashmiri Migrants (07)
  • Terrorist/Riot Victim (08)
  • Single Girl Child (09)
  • Cancer/Aids patients (10)
  • Kargil Martyrs (11)
  • Economically Weaker Section (12)
     
  Impotant Note for Sports and Defence Categories: Only the candidates belonging to Sports (14) and Defence categories (15 to 33) will also submit Confirmation page along with self attested photocopies of supporting documents and JAC Copy of e-Challan/EPG receipt. Submission can be done by hand in the Admissions Office at University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, Sector 25, Chandigarh or sent by post to the Chairperson, Joint Admission Committee, University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, Sector 25, Chandigarh so as to reach latest by  3rd July, 2012.
